Ben Roethlisberger is in TTTRRROOOUUUBBBLLLEEEEE!

Why you ask?

Well, he is being ACCUSED of RAPING a hotel employee 1 year ago.

A woman is suing the Pittsburgh Steelers SUPERBOWL CHAMP for what she claims is sexual assult that happened in Ben's Nevada hotel room in July of LAST YEAR.

Her name is Andrea McNulty, and she is an employee of Harrah's Lake Tahoe, where Ben was staying for a celebrity golf tournament.

She claims that Ben asked her to come to his room to fix his TV, but when she got there, he started kissing and fondling her. THEN he laid her down on the bed and started undressing her.

Andrea says she made it perfectly clear she wasn't interested, but Ben persisted. When she told him she wasn't on any type of birth control, he said, quote, "Don't worry, I'll pull out."

After this happened, Andrea says Ben told her to tell people she came to his room and fixed his TV, nothing more.

Now interesting enough, Andrea never went to the police, and she's filing this lawsuit a year after the alleged assault happened. So, the concern is raised...there are questions about timing.

Andrea says in her lawsuit that she IMMEDIATELY tried to report it to the hotel's head of security, Guy Hyder, but he just blew her off.

She says he told her she was overreacting, and added told her :

"Most girls would feel lucky to have sex with someone like Ben Roethlisberger."

Supposedly, he also told her that the hotel president, John Koster, was a friend and admirer of Roethlisberger's, and would probably FIRE Andrea if she reported him.

Andrea is saying she's needed treatment for depression since the attack. She wants at least $440,000 in damages from Ben, and at least $50,000 from the hotel.

Now OBVIOUSLY Ben is denying all of this. His lawyer says:

"Ben has never sexually assaulted anyone. The timing of the lawsuit and the absence of a criminal complaint and a criminal investigation are the most compelling evidence of the absence of any criminal conduct. If an investigation is commenced, Ben will cooperate fully and Ben will be fully exonerated."
