SEXY GIRL was supposed to be released today, but I was too excited and everything was done with the launch page, so I released it before midnight yesterday. I have gotten some feedback and reviews, and I am so humbled by all the love and excitement for the new music. I wish I could claim the song as my own, but alas I do not own the copyright to the production. But, it was an awesome learning experience nonetheless. I got to record in Denver at a BOMB studio and work with some amazing folks.

The funniest critique I get from the song is that the listener is SURPRISED at the edginess of the song. Meaning, "why is goody-mormon-virginal-Bobby singing a song like this?" Well, to be honest, I just wanted to do something sexy and fun that showed some edge in comparison to my previous work. I'm not going balls to the walls man whore or anything now, but it's fun to appreciate the sexy side of life.

On that note, I hope all is going well in your world, and that the song touches you...in more ways than one hehe. I am hoping that this new track will parlay into other projects where I can work with more talented folks on original music that features my song writing skills. So, stay tuned and I hope I have good news for you on the next blogpost.

Well kids, I was in the studio yesterday finishing up recording SEXY GIRL, and it was a BLAST. I initially went in last week, but due to scheduling conflicts, I had to finish up yesterday. I went in for 1 hour to do the final mix with my engineer Andy, and ended up spending 3 hours tweeking away. The absolute final mix is almost done and I will let you know when you can download it. The pic above is a shot from earlier in the week when Jordin Sparks, and Leona Lewis came to the studio where I was recording. If you didn't know, Ryan Tedder is a local superstar here in Denver, and produces hits for many TOP 40 acts that you are familiar with. Below is me in the booth where I had to recut the bridge on SEXY GIRL. Fun fact, I met the super cool owner of the studio yesterday and he informed me that Enrique Iglesias recorded his hit TONIGHT I'M F***ING YOU on the same mic as me.

This is wifey And here's wifey Kat...playing on her phone while Andy and I mixed and edited away. Ain't she cute? Fun fact # 2, after the studio session, we celebrated our 3rd wedding anniversary in Denver. We feasted on a delicious meal at Maggiano's, then went shopping for some of my photoshoot duds.

This is the mixing board with the SEXY GIRL session and those amazingly talented hands you see belong to super-engineer Andy. We did so much editing and cool effects that the poor computer crashed several times.

LOOK WHAT I GOT!

So 2 weeks ago my HP desktop crashed and I had to send it away via GEEK SQUAD. I found out over the weekend that I was in need of an exchange because long story short, the HP would cost too much to fix, so we got back our purchase price to put towards a new PC.

Well, my heart's desires were realized when I took the honor of Citadel Broadcasting's "Employee Of The Year 2O1O" last Friday! Well, apart from the honor and splendor of celebrating with my wife and co-workers, I got a nice little bonus of a GRAND!

That Grand + Original Purchase Price got me the above beauty you see and it is AWESOME! The learning curve is taking some getting used to, but I LOVE IT! I have heard nothing but great things about Macs so I am excited to learn all cool things they do. Here's a sample of what I've done thus far:

Anyway...I will check in soon again. I'm working on a SMASH new electro-R&B-club banger called "SEXY GIRL" that is more along the lines of what I wanna do musically. I actually have a studio appointment in Denver at Side 3 Studios where a few major Colorado acts have recorded albums so I super stoked to see what the finished product turns out to be.

Hey Friends! I wanted to take a second to wish you a very Happy & Blessed 2O11! I hope that you had a great New Year's Eve celebration and countdown. I spent a wonderful evening at home and watched the mayhem from my couch. If you didn't know Colorado got a wee-bit of a snow storm Thursday and it was quite a spectacle on the roads. There were accidents all over the place but thankfully my little "White Boy" aka white Camry did a valiant job on the icy roads.

I have spent the week and holidays on Vacation. Well, VACATION was actually spent at home with my family. Needless to say it was not really a Vacation. My whole family was also home and I had no car to use. Anyway, I am actually excited about going back to work. It's amazing how much I love my family and truly need my space from them at the same time. Ah well. I STILL say the new year is blessed no matter what.

As I sit and write this HAPPY NEW YEAR blog, my wife is being hormonally dramatic about our 1 car situation. So, I bid you adieu for now and wish to leave you with a POSITIVE sentiment.

May 2O11 bring you peace, joy, prosperity, and abundant amounts of love from family & friends, but may FEAR, DOUBT, ANXIETY, and ANY NEGATIVITY flee far from you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

I just wanted to take a quick moment to wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. I have been reflecting over the past year and any person would probably say they would be glad to leave behind such a year as mine.

Over 2010 I have seen the loss of my Tia, who I think about every day. I lost me beloved Schnauzer Jasmine after 13 wonderful years of life. I recovered from a horrible bicycle accident. I rebounded from a car accident that totaled my wife's 2 week old new car. I went through a stroke-scare with my mother. And last but not least, I saw the fruition of all my anxiety, doubt, and fears come to its peak boiling point.

BUT...at the end of the day everything from the above mentioned has made me a stronger person, and through my trials, I have learned that my Father in Heaven loves me abundantly. I feel as though I have obviously had some extreme low points, but its the high points that let me know everything will ultimately always work out.

It sure doesn't seem like it in the moment, but I can testify to you that its sincerely God's grace that keeps one from goin insane. Funny thing, I was researching anxiety, and coping with panic attacks last week and I came across a description that I felt matched my crazy little head. I noticed that General Anxiety Disorder seemed to fit me to a T.

Now I am not proclaiming that I have this disorder, but I sure do fit a lot of the criteria when I am having a BAD day! Anyhow, within the "Tips and tricks to dealing with your anxiety" I noticed that "THEY" being the scientific experts and know-it-alls recommended having a "FAITH" to turn to when times get tough.

I thought how interesting...that SCIENCE was telling a perfect stranger to rely on a "FAITH" to help cope with there anxiety. It's amazing how true that rings for me this past year. I have found that I am so much closer to God than I have probably ever been.

As I was sitting holding my Tia's hand as the cancer took her life away in the hospital, I felt the most genuine peace from God I ever felt. I can recall sitting with my Mom and Wife and you could hear a dust particle drop, that's how quiet the room was. There wasn't a rush of crying and emotion as she passed away, but more of a sincere beauty that death can bring to a loved one who's body is fading away painfully.

I probably sound like a Debbie downer and I certainly do not mean to make anyone feel bad, but my point is that even at our LOWEST OF LOW LIFE POINTS, HE aka The Creator of Heaven And Earth, the ONE, our Father In Heaven is there with you, watching you, feeling your pain, counting your tears, and holding your hand as you endure life's mandatory trials.

This my friends, is the GOOD NEWS! We are never alone. Even in the midst of the waves crashing against the rock in which you reside, That wonderful Creator loves you and will see you through it. Even better to root your self in his gospel, and find time during your day to pray or have a conversation with him.

It's kinda funny, but at last Sunday's Sacrament meeting in church, my Bishop spoke and it was almost like he was talking DIRECTLY to me cause it was what I needed to hear at that moment in time. He said that if Fear and Doubt was consuming our life, let Heavenly Father provide the necessary relief from an Unnecessary turmoil that we didn't have to suffer with. Honestly at the end of the day, we cannot control what happens anyway, so no sense in worrying about the unexpected right? Right.

I'll leave you with a creative idea my Mom had me put together....A "Naranjo Christmas List 2010" and on that list there are 3 things each member of my family must fill out "My Gift To Jesus Christ", "My Gift To Myself," and "My 2011 Wishes". Feel free to share this with your family this Christmas and skip the unnecessary "2011 NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS" that are forgotten by February.

On that note, I wish you and your family, friends, and beloveds a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I will see ya in 2011!

I'm a LOSER!

I apologize to the 2 of you that read this blog religiously. I know it's been a while since I have blogged, but the radio biz has been B-A-N-A-N-A-S! Anyway, I hope you are doing well. All is good in the land O' Bobby Adan. I'm very happy to say I have been eating prunes and grape nuts regularly and I am quite regular as well LOL! TMI?!

Lemme recap what's happened the past month..um...Thanksgiving was a blast, I ate till my pants split open, and then I starved myself and put in overtime at the gym to get back in shape.

December has been pretty busy radio-wise, but my little baby nephew turned 3 years old, and my wife turned 27! Over the course of a week I had a party at McDonald's play land (ironically with a medical marijuana clinic across the street!) and then spent a couple nights in Denver for my wifey's birthday.

It's been a whirlwind of good craziness, but the body has a way of saying "HOLD UP!" I noticed some huge tense knots and pains in my neck and shoulders. Well I was blessed enough to have a 1 hour massage and I am hooked!

I've never had a massage and I was SO nervous, but it was awesome! I did a couples massage with my wife and I think I actually fell asleep for a minute or so during the whole experience. Needless to say I was so pleased with the results, and not to sound gross, but it was a HAPPY ENDING! Not THAT happy ending, but an ending that left me relaxed and free from all tension in my back and neck.

The talent pool from SNL is astounding. Kristen Wiig and Molly Shannon are some satnd outs and I found these videos that have kept me laughing...literally...laughing out loud.

This is "Aunt Linda" played by Kristen Wiig who does a very negative and HILARIOUS movie review. This character reminds me of someone I know....in a funny good way.

This last video I want to share is "Helen Madden" aka the JOYOLOGIST. Helen is played by Molly Shannon and this skit was hilarious to me from a young age.

Not really...but that's kinda how I'm feelin' lately. I don't mean my clothes TAKE IT OFF, I mean my fears, insecurities and worries about the things that I cannot control. Taking off the fear and doubt and letting GOD be more powerful in my life and trusting that my life has a purpose.

I have been working like a mad man lately to get some songs done that a Producer (who shall remain unnamed) sent me. He found me on Twitter, and has worked with a pretty major Top 40 artist. Well, needless to say, we went back and forth and this all took place over a month ago. Long story short I was able to send him my first song this past Friday.

He said that the song was "Dope," and that I should keep my catalogue growing. I asked about working with him further, which was my hope all along, but alas that's not what he had in mind. Can't say I wasn't a bit upset, but what can ya do right? So, on to the next opportunity!

I sent the song I sent the original producer to some other industry folks and so far Kandi Buruss (platinum writer for TLC, Mariah Carey etc also a real housewife of Atlanta) said that my first ever solo lyric composition was great! I was so honored and humbled that she took the time to listen to me and actually give me feedback!

Essentially, I'm not giving up on the dream yet, nor will I ever. I have prayed and fasted and I know that God will allow what is supposed to happen in my life with me...HAPPEN. I still feel like that 19 yr old kid some days who had a developmental deal from Warner Brothers and one of the most successful song writer/producers in the industry wanting to work with me.

Basically the lesson I've learned...IRONICALLY from the producer who just opted to not work with me, is "Don't place all your eggs in a shaky basket."

Wise words in fact. I suppose the music industry isn't what it used to be, and perhaps I have in fact missed my window of opportunity, but no one can break my spirits and take away my ability to dream about what can be. I am learning you have to MAKE your opportunities happen sometimes and not just sit there with a thumb up your bum. Take initiative and go for it. What have I got to lose?

I will keep on trucking away at this crazy industry called music, and maybe one day soon, I will be able to garner some success and bless my loved ones.

Well....I'M ALLLLIIIVVVVVVEEEE! And boy does it feel good baby!

A week ago today I had my bike accident and now I am back to work and healing just perfectly. I swear my Father in Heaven loves me. My only complaint is that I am itchy as HAIL! All my skin is re-growing so I like to think I'm like Wolverine with a mutant power...but needless to say, I'm itchy!

I spoke to my old buddy/producer Todd today and he said that he may be willing to help me engineer/doctor-up a song that I wrote for another producer that is UBER talented that has opted to work with me. The good thing is that Todd is UBER talented as well and I am probably his biggest fan! If you didn't know, Todd produced my entire debut album on iTunes & Amazon MP3 now.

Just a little quick history on Todd and I...we started working together WAY back in 1999 when I had a deal with Warner Brothers/Manusee Records. Well that deal fell through and Todd and I kept working throughout the years and were able to accomplish an impressive body of POP work. If you hear anything on Top 40 radio right now, Todd is the guy that brings that sound, so in my humble opinion he is like my Dr. Luke or Max Martin!

So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed about the new song, "She's Fine (And She's Knows It)"! The song is a bit more Urban and R&B than my debut album which I like to think of as a POP OPUS, but I am excited to spread my wing as a writer and grow in this fickle industry called music.

Blogging on bed rest.

So...I have pretty much had a hard week my friends. On Tuesday at approximately 6:15PM, I had a pretty nasty bicycle accident on the paved bike trail where I live in Colorado. Obviously I am ok, but I am on my 3rd day of bed rest per the ER doctor's orders, and I feel like I was hit by a truck...or I slammed into the cement after flipping over my bike.

Anyhoo, needless to say its been a rough week. I'm healing from a sprained wrist, bruised abdomen, missing skin on my arms and knee (road burn), and a banged up head to toe body.

From what I can remember, I was going down hill on my bike (NO BIKE HELMET) and I stretched out my feet and the tip of my shoe went into my front wheel spokes.

At that moment, I was ejected over my bike's handle bars, but not before they had enough time to turn into my abdomen stabbing and giving me a severe contusion (bruise). Well the whole scene was in slow motion, but happened at lightening speed if that makes any sense.

I can recall my bike flipping as I was flying in the air hurling toward that fateful cold white cement. My head bounced off the hard bike trail as I crash landed with no air in my body. I literally had knocked the wind out of me as they say and all I could gasp was "HELP ME HEAVENLY FATHER!"

Well after God saw fit to bestow the gift of breath back into my lungs, I lie there on the cement just still and paralyzed with shock and fear of what was happening to me.

I kid you not, the thought in my head was, "this cannot be happening...am I actually laying here on the floor?!" Well, thankfully some bike path walkers ran over to me and instantly started helping me. A very kind woman helped me get to my feet, but I almost passed out, so she made me sit back down.

This earthly Angel called my family so they could come get me. Thankfully my Mother in her triumphant Toyota Venza chariot came speeding down the bike path illegally to my rescue.

We then headed over to the ER where I remained for the next 7 hours. After 2 CAT scans, several X-Rays, a painful scrubbing of my road rash wounds, and a few doses of pain medication, the doctor said I was a lucky little boy to not have more serious injuries. I did have a little bit of Heavenly help by way of two great Elder's from the LDS church who came to give me a blessing. Brother Flint and Colburn were awesome and so compassionate.

I've been on bed rest for 3 days so far, and I have a headache that comes and goes causing me slight nauseousness. My body feels like it was hit by a semi, but day 3 is so much better than day 1. I was literally crying like a baby in pain the next morning as my poor wife left me to go to work.

Thankfully, my accident wasn't a horrible tragedy like it could have been according to all the medical professionals who told me to wear a helmet from now on. I must agree that I am blessed from my Father in Heaven. He looked out for me, and help my hand every step of the way, and for that my testimony is even that much stronger and I am so grateful.

I no longer have "white boy Jr ", aka my white mountain bike. May he rest in peace, and I wish to thank him for helping me to lose 35 pounds over the summer and early fall. White Boy Jr. was the best bike a 30 year old kid ever got, and he will be missed dearly.

On that note my friends, the moral of the story is to always protect yourself with the appropriate helmet and gear, and to count your blessings daily. In an instant, your whole life can change...thankfully mine is changed for the better, as I will be wise about my bike safety.

OCTOBER ALREADY?!!!

Forgive me and my blogging ways for I have SINNED! I cannot believe it's October already. Summer went by like the speed of light for me so it seems. I do look forward to fall weather and scents in the air though.

Lots has been happening and busy in Bobby's World, and I have not had one chance to sit down and blog, so purrty please forgive me!

Well let's see...I have recorded some new music. CLICK HERE to hear a sample of what I have been experimenting with. I have also been busy performing...I did a show last Monday with The Ready Set and it was AWESOME! I sang a brand new song called Suck 4 U and everybody kept saying it reminded them of Michael Jackson or Prince, so I think thats a good sign. One guy even asked me what my "RAP" song was called...LOLOL! I was like RAP?!!!!

Work at the Radio station has been busy and good. I've been popping up as Best Friend Bobby aka BFB on the air at Magic FM, and I gotta say I sure do miss it. I filled in on the morning show and it was a blast!

Other than that, steady as she goes. I hope to have more information about some great things goin on in my world with some new ventures, so I promise to keep up at my blogging!

It's Been A While...

Well, Life has been keeping me busy for a while so I apologize to the 3 of you who actually read this blog.

Anycoochie, I have just been busy and all over the place. I've gotten a lot of questions about how my album is doing and to be honest, not quite sure. I receive a report in about 6 months, but I tend to think it isn't accurate. I am most likely neck and neck with Katy Perry right about now which isn't a bad place to be ;-)

I kid, but overall, things are going well. Still networking and trying to get that dream musical situation that allows me to record great music for a living, so we shall see what the future holds for one little Bobby.

On the plus, I have been doing well with my dieting and fitness. I rode my bike last night for about 20 miles. I started from downtown Colorado Springs and made my way north the 98.9 Magic FM studios! That's 20 MILES FOLKS! Not bad eh?

And it gets even better. I have been blessed with new music from some amazing artists that I'm listening to on my iPod everyday.

So far I've acquired new music from LOLENE:

Expect FUN pop/dance/electro songs from Lolene. I happen to be friends with her on Facebook and Twitter as well, and she is just such a cute girl with a hilarious personality. She's a really great artist with a hunger and drive for all things pop, so I definitely recommend her album when it hits stores soon! This is the single cover for her song "Rich" which is available on iTunes now.

Matt Pokora:

Now this album may be hard for you to come by. In fact I had to order my copy off Ebay! This album was released in France seeing as Matt Pokora is a FRENCH singer. He often gets comparisons to being the French Justin Timberlake. He can dance, has swagger, and his music is ALL ear candy. This album has a lot of electro-urban-pop and 7 of the song are done in English whilst the rest of the album is in French, but I swear you will love the music. Here is the album cover for Matt's new album, "Mise A Jour." While your at it, check out his ALL English album MP3 that was released last year. It has production from Timbaland, Ryan Leslie, J.R. Rotem and The Bioniks. Great artist!

Katy Perry:

This is probably the album of 2010. I enjoy it cause Katy charges into a more poppy-electro-rock-dancy theme with this new album. I truly haven't heard one song on this album that I don't LOVE. Katy should dominate the charts with her "Teenage Dream" album with some impressive first week sales numbers. Some standout tracks include the makes me blush "Peacock." Now this song sounds like a Rihanna track with raunchy lyrics about a man's...well, Peacock. Another GREAT track is "Circle The Drain" which is a rocky-urban jam that has amazing production and lyrics. There's "Last Friday Night" which in my opinion is the new anthem for every drunk girl who likes to hook-up at an STD-ridden club on the weekend. "E.T." is a cool electro-rock sounding jam that almost sounds like a Lady Gaga song but better. Overall, this album is definitely an A+ and TOTALLY better than her debut, One of The Boys. Make sure to buy this album, you will NOT be disappointed.

And...Usher Versus:

Usher has RE-released his Raymond VS Raymond album with 7 new songs, but considering this economy, he has been kind enough to release just an EP with the new songs. On this album Usher has his RADIO SMASH, "DJ Got Us Fallin' In Love", as well as the urban club banger, "Hot Tottie" featuring a hilarious self-indulged rap from Jay-Z and amazing guest background vocals from Ester Dean. Another Highlight is Usher's remixed version of Justin Bieber's "Somebody to Love." The track was completely revamped and has an R&B-hard hitting Hip Hop/Pop vibe to it that in my opinion, should have been done in the first place. Justin Bieber is on the second verse, and it kinda sounds like his balls are beginning to drop cause I hear a difference in his tone. It has a lower quality to it. Anyway, the album is great, and a definite must have for any true R&B fan. Here is the album cover below.

So I came across this K-POP group (KOREAN POP) called 2NE1 and I LOVE them! No they aren't HOT like The Pussycat Dolls, but I love the music, energy, dancing and WEIRD looks that these chicks bring. Check out their music video for their single called "FOLLOW ME."

Well she just shot a video for her new single RICH (FAKE IT TILL I MAKE IT) <----LOVE that title. Anyway, she is smokin' hot, and I see a bright future for this girl. Her lyrics are odd, fun, and catchy.

Her music is Electro-pop and it is all ear candy. Her single is available now on iTunes (right next to BOBBY ADAN oddly) and I can't stop listening to it. The video makes me like this song even more. Check it out:

So I am reading this GREAT book called "My Life In France" from the French Chef extraordinaire herself, Julia Child. Yes I know this sounds weird, but I saw the movie "Julie & Julia" (inspired by Julia Child's book) a while back and it has been in my DVD player ever since.

You might ask why I love this movie so much....me too. The whole premise of the movie was about taking chances and discovering what your passion is in life, and DOING SOMETHING about it. How profound.

In the movie, the main character Juile is 29 turning 30 ans SCARED crap-less about the state of her life. Well that hit a nerve. Through course of cooking her way through Julia Child's "Mastering The Art Of French Cooking," she realized 30 was okay, and she achieved her dreams of being a published writer.

Now, cooking won't help me get my dreams of being an internationally known recording artist realized, but it's the simple idea that greatness is a choice, and you can decide to choose to do great things, or watch other people around you do great things while you watch.

My greatness, in my humble opinion, is not defined by me selling MILLIONS of albums and being filthy rich (it could be, and I wouldn't hate that idea) but rather, being happy with your life and what you ALREADY have. There's a saying I have on my Facebook profile quote that says "Happiness is wanting what you already have."

How true that sentiment is for me. I have a wife who adores me with all my flawed loveability. I have a Mother & Father who are amazing in so many ways, and have proven to be supreme parents throughout my young 30 years. I have a sister who is so amazingly complex, but loving and caring, and my best friend. I have a nephew who is the key to my existence. He provides a spirit so close to Godliness that he can warm my heart even on it's coldest days. I have the most entertaining and loyal dogs and cat anyone could ever hope for. And, most importantly, I have a testimony of the power of God's presence and work in my life.

I won't site here and tell you I'm super spiritual and able to walk on water, but I will tell you that I know I have a Father in Heaven who loves me know matter how imperfect I can be. I know that HE has provided a plan of salvation and that if I am worthy and diligent till my end, I can go live with Him again one day. It's kinda funny cause the radio stations I work for are running those catchy "I'm a Mormon" commercials all the time, and I seem to be the go-to-Mormon guy of why The LDS church is advertising. Good times.

Anyway, this blog post was to tell you how great "My Life In France" by Julia Child is. So there you have it, THE BOOK IS A GREAT READ. Julia wrote this book with her grand-nephew and she has such a way of captivating your senses that you almost feel like you are in France with her. From the way she describes the delicious smells, aromas, and tastes of French cooking, to her childlike sense of wonderment in discovering her passion for French food and culture. In one of the lines, Julia says: "I just must BE French"

I'm not done with the book yet, but it is so good. I read it on my lunch hour and end up with a vigorous salivating hunger for food. Not good when you are trying to watch your diet with healthy foods. I feel fat just reading about the amount of butter, cheese and bread within the book's pages. I have an appointment today with an Academic Adviser at a Colorado University to finish up my Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design and Advertising! Not sure how all this will go, but I've prayed and I am confident that The Lord will direct my path. As you can see above I've been inspired by a lot of POP ART lately and I just love it. So, wish me luck.

On the music front, things have been going so well with my album and I couldn't be more lucky to have an album released all over the world and available to anyone and everyone who loves music.

DON'T LIKE YOU...

Noooo not YOU...the chick in my song. I began working on a cool funky Urban/Electro POP song called "DON'T LIKE YOU".

The premise of the song is about a guy (totally relatable for the ladies too) who is in a relationship where the honeymoon phase is over. We've ALL been there. In fact, the girl he started out loving is now on her way out the door for being an overbearing, greedy, needy, gold digging CHICK.

I told my wife about my song concept last night and IMMEDIATELY she was like "Is this song about me?!" LOLOLOLOL! Oh my baby...I love her forever.

I actually sent the rough draft to my producer extraordinaire, Todd Nystrom, and he thinks it's a promising POP effort. I'm excited! If anyone knows a good POP song it's Todd. He produced my whole album, engineered it, produced my vocals, arranged harmonies and all! I definitely respect his opinion and till this day he's the best producer I've had the honor of working with. He's kinda like the Max Martin to My Britney Spears you could say. Now all I need is the funky-cool-quirky track. Stay tuned on that.

The weekend was AMAZING too! I sang at the grand finale Derby in Calhan Colorado in front of a SOLD OUT CROWD! I will have the video up this week hopefully since my computer crashed last week. Anyway, the song went well considering I was still getting over the bug I had earlier in the week. I sang my little heart out and hit some great power notes that I cannot WAIT for you to hear. Ya know, I have to say when an artist sings the National Anthem, you can really separate the fat from the cream vocally. It is a difficult song, particularly if you sing it acapella like I did.

Other than that, I did another 12 miles on my bike in beautiful Colorado, and it was SUPERB. I got on the scale this morning and was down another 6 LBS! All this out door activity is paying off I think. About to hit up Gold's Gym tonight for some Chest, bi's, tri's and abs. Have a wonderful week friends!

Nothing SUPER exciting or interesting to post today per say, but all is well in the land of POP. I'm just now feeling better after this wretched stomach flu that pulled the rug out from under me. Actually yesterday was my first REAL meal after getting so sick and I had a double quarter pounder, fries, and a sweet tea. EEEEK! There's all the weight back after losing while I was sick.

Ah well. Now, my poor sister got the stomach flu as well. It just spreads like a wild fire. As for the album, I've had a lot of questions about how sales are doing, and to be honest, I don't quite know. I receive a report from my distributor in a month so I should know then. I could be selling 500 or 500K right now...who knows! The 500K would be nice though.

This weekend I will be singing The National Anthem in Calhan, Colorado. Should be fun, and then I just wanna relax! Do nothing, watch movies, lay around, be a bum. Sounds like a plan.

Well this day has been YEARS in the making and started when I was just a humble sperm and egg freshly combined. BOBBY ADAN is OFFICIALLY on iTunes and Amazon MP3!!!!

Oh happy day! I was able to check out various iTunes stores all over the world and the album is also available internationally, so please make sure you go out and get this amazing POP RECORD. I promise you will love it. If you do, please spread the word and tell your music lover friends.

Aside from having my album out world-wide, I am just getting over the STOMACH FLU. No joke. I was at work on Monday and outta NO WHERE, I puked 4 times. Gross I know but all is getting better today. I got to spend the day with my wife being a lazy bum and trying to get well. Overall, it's probably an unconventional release date for a budding POP star, but I cannot complain.

This is the best day EVER!. I have to tell you that all my POP power and goodness has a LOT to with the influence of 90's POP super group Ace Of Base. I had to buy 2 copies of their CD because I wore the first one out. I even knew how to sing their songs in Swedish (the ones they recorded in Swedish that is)!

Anyway...I just got word that Ace of Base is back with a brand new single ALL FOR YOU and they have 2 new leading female lady singers named Clara and Julia. Check out some of their pics:

Sore And Such.

So I have been going to the gym quite a bit lately and I am just worn out. Yesterday I did a full hour of intense cardio, bi's, tri's, and chest over at Gold's Gym. Today I will be doing Legs, and back. Needless to say I am SORE! But it's nice to be able to start selling tickets...

I have been desperately needing to go out and hike or ride my bike, but that won't be happening. Colorado has decided it wants to rain every friggin' afternoon, and on top of that my bike pedal is broken so I can't ride it. Lameness all around, but thank the Lord for Gold's Gym.

Anyway...sorry for the lack of updates. Let's just say it's been a DOOZY of a week. I was feeling all down and out in Colorado Springs and I found myself wanting to drive away one afternoon. Ya know just drive until your car runs outta gas and you end up in a beautiful area where people are nice to you and there isn't any stress ,drama, bills, daily struggles etc.

Unfortunately I don't know where that place exists here in the U.S. but after calming down and giving into prayer, I realized I am right where I should be, and that is a good thing.

I did get a chance to see Inception and MAN that movie was a trip. It's definitely a thinker movie. One of the coolest scenes and parts of the movie was where Leo and his wife are in their dream world. They got to build what they felt was their perfect world. So it got me thinking how awesome would it be to be able to do that.

My perfect world would be a place like Vail, Colorado with a crystal clear warm ocean, a suburban and cool city just off in the distance so that at night you can see it's brilliant lights shining. I'd have all of my family and close friends living near by in their own mansions, I'd be surrounded by my kids, animals and wife. That'd be my perfect world.

Anyhoochie...it is Friday and I am grateful for this weekend. I'm only days away from seeing my first ever album on iTunes this Tuesday (July 27th) and I still cannot believe it. Even if this album only sells one copy, aka me buying it, I don't care. I have worked my butt off to get this project off the ground and there is something to be said for taking matters into your own hands and getting things done. Of course I hope I sell a few albums...heck, I'd be satisfied with the numbers Heidi Montag got. But at the end of the day I know I made great POP music. So, I hope you do get a chance to buy it on iTunes Tuesday, and if you like it....tell a friend.

So I've been on this Drake kick for a while now, and I JUST bought his album Thank Me Later. The album is so good, and totally NOT my typical POP liking. Drake just has such a unique tone that I love hearing, and his lyrics are super intelligent sounding. Anyway, I was looking at the graphic art work for his album and I noticed how cool the effects were so I tried to mimic it. First off, here's Drake's:

Over here on my end, things have been as busy as ever getting closer to the release date, but I am so beyond excited. It sorta hit me yesterday that I will actually be an artist who has really defied the odds and gotten Shitake mushrooms done around here. If you truly knew what I went through to get to this point in my life....well, let's just say I hope to write a great book one day and just vent all of it.

Anyway...as you can see I've been creatively making promotional materials for the album and I think they've come out purrrttyyy cool if I do say so myself. I did the one you see above, and this one that sorta mirrors the new blog header....

It's to promote my new single I WANT U BACK which actually made it's radio debut in Nashville Tennessee on the River 106 the other day! I thought about how I could accomplish something cheeky and fun, as well as something the ladies would enjoy, and well...the picture says it all!

Well guys & gals...It looks like good things are happening to he who waits and works his butt off. Not only have I been in overdrive with my album release (July 27th, 2010 on iTunes!) but I have been busy doing a side job of sorts in the graphic design world.

My wife Kat and I re-vamped my Music MySpace and the official website! Updated with the exciting news that on JULY 27TH my album "BOBBY ADAN" will be on iTunes world-wide! Oh yeah and there are some other cool new updates as well.

I gotta tell ya...I SURE can VIVIDLY imagine being a working and successful viable Pop entity. Just look at artists like Keri Hilson, Ester Dean, Ciara, Ke$ha...all successful behind the scenes writers who got to make an impact on the charts.

All I know is that I have no clue what the future holds, but if I can make a living doing something I LOVE and support my family, that's my dream.

And now, my dream is JUST starting to come through. An album on iTunes...not much to some, but for me, YEARS IN THE MAKING.

I actually got to catch up with my former boy band member today (haha I know, no jokes from the peanut gallery), and it was surreal to think back to our humble beginnings, and to where I am now. No I'm not on top of the Billboard 100 YET, but I am one step closer than I was yesterday.

Exciting news! I learned last night that good things happen to good people. My momma just got a brand spanking new 2011 Toyota Venza...NO CAR PAYMENT!!!! Check it out:

She saw it on the show room floor, and she told me..."Bob...it's beautiful, it's ROOT BEER BROWN!!!"

Now my thought was WTF....ROOT BEER BROWN????!!!! But the color is really pretty and totally my Mom. It wouldn't be my Mom's car without choosing those rare and oft-considered "ugly" colors.

Anyway...I am so happy for her and jealous all at the same time, Our Father in Heaven knows that my Mom deserves this beautiful vehicle. She's been wanting something that's big enough to caravan our whole family around since my nephew's car seat always makes for an uncomfortable ride. The Venza is a great family vehicle, and I actually was lusting after it when I was forced..err um decided with my wife's help to trade in my BELOVED and MANLY 4-Runner for a Camry a while ago.

I always ask my mom, "Mom, when I make it and can buy you whatever car you want, what will you get?! MOM: Oh, I'd like a little Honda CRV, or a RAV-4!" That's my Mom for ya...a humble soul.

Now let's see if I can get my dream truck back, a new 2010 Toyota 4-Runner =P

In other news....

Well I think the picture says it all....

I have ants in my pants with all this getting my album up for main distribution and such. It's really almost like an extra job trying to be an artist and launch your own solo project. You have to maintain, and creatively control a personal website, not to mention get/stay in POP STAR shape. Oh yeah...then there's managing your music and spending the countless HOURS editing and preparing for a World-Wide iTunes release (Japan, UK, Australia, Mexico etc.)

But I can say I'm exhausted in the best way possible. Nobody will make your dreams happen but YOU. It took a while for me to learn that, but I'm ready to start living my dream instead of talking about it.

On that note, I hope you have a BLESSED weekend. I will be singing in Calhan, CO on July 31st. I will have video up of that right after.

Kat (Le Wifey) and I have put together some amazing brain power and put together the official website, my iTunes album (music and art work), and some plans to get it to the right radio and record people we have made contact with through the years. Between the both of us, that 13 years of life in radio. I sure hope it pays off in the best way possible for me =)

I am so ancy and excited to get this project off the ground. Here's to an amazing 2010 and hopefully Bobby Adan getting a hit, a record deal, and the chance to live a dream baby!

So I came across this LIVE performance of Kelly Rowland's single COMMANDER, and man did she COMMAND that performance!

I have to admit that I am not the biggest Kelly fan, and I don't think she's that great vocally when she sings live, but she definitely had a vocal confidence that I've never heard from her. I DESPISED "When Love Takes Over", the single she did with David Guetta. But Guetta certainly helped Kelly out with a solid dance track which I have come to have on repeat lately.

To top it off, she looked hot in her skimpy green bra and toned body. I think if Kelly plays her cards right she could be one of those dance floor diva chicks, and POSSIBLY give Beyonce a run for her money (not really).

So this weekend I got ancy about the status and progress of my album and what not, so I took matters into my own hands and did a total REVAMP on www.BOBBYADAN.com as well as my other media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, Myspace , and Youtube).

The finished product is something I'm happy and proud to say I did all by myself! My wife did help me with the official website formatting since she's smart like that, but she taught me how to do a lot this weekend. I spent pretty much the majority of my weekend in Photoshop working away.

I shot some new photos for the website, including a new possible album cover for my iTunes debut album. Here it is:

It's simple, clean, but it speaks to what my album is all about. Good ol' POP MUSIC.

I contemplated album titles like "POPOLOGY 101", "POPAHOLIC'S ANONYMOUS", "POPULOUS", "POPTASTIC", but my wife seems to think just 'BOBBY ADAN" is good enough. I kinda have to say I agree with her even though I love some of those POPPY album names!

Anyway, here's is my latest single to be lifted from the debut album BOBBY ADAN. It's called I WANT U BACK and it pays homage to some of my pop music influences like *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Ricky Martin, and the sexy Latina hip shakers themselves, Shakira y Jennifer Lopez!

I recorded this song with super-producer Todd Nystrom in Seattle at T-Storm studios. I WANT U BACK happens to be just one of my favorite songs of the album and is also my wifey's favorite (she says it reminds her of *NYSYNC). Anyway, please check it out and let me know what you think.

Did you hear my wife Kat and I are moving? Where you ask? TO DISNEY WORLD! Not really but check this out. Disney announced today that they will be opening a residence resort (GOLDEN OAK) for people to purchase homes in. Houses will range anywhere from 1.5 to 8 MILLION $$$$$$$$!

So this really just puts the pressure on to have at least one hit single under my belt so I can buy one of these homes. Check out one of the concept model homes:

Now for me I don't give a sh%# what these houses look like. I just want to be close to Disney World. Kat and I spent our honeymoon there almost 2 years ago and it was like a paradise.

I tried to talk Kat into quitting our jobs and just stay there at Disney, but alas, we had to become grown-ups.

Disney unveils Golden Oak luxury homes, offering a chance to live in the Walt Disney World resort:

Today Disney has revealed plans for Golden Oak, a new luxury residential resort community allowing families to actually purchase a home at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Fla.

Located southeast of the Magic Kingdom and north of Epcot (marked by an icon on the map below), the exclusive Golden Oak community will offer a single family custom homes priced between $1.5 and $8 million. Less than 30 home sites will be available for sale this year, so space is quite limited. The home designs have been created by Walt Disney Imagineers, making them dream homes for any Disney fan. The gated community will feature intimate neighborhoods and amenities within the entire 980-acre footprint.

“We have a range of options for guests at all price points to enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort. But Golden Oak is something totally new: a residential resort community, right in the heart of the magic,” said Matt Kelly, vice president, Disney Resort Real Estate Development. “Golden Oak will be a place where families can come together and make memories for generations to come – with Disney World right at their doorstep.”

The proposed private clubhouse, (pictured above) concierge services and collection of Walt Disney World Resort benefits will bring Disney’s guest service culture directly to Golden Oak residents. As previously announced, Golden Oak is planned to include Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, combining Disney’s renowned service and hospitality with Four Seasons’ defining standard of excellence. Golden Oak plans to offer residents access to select Four Seasons’ future amenities including the full-service spa, restaurants, golf course and event space.

Golden Oak will initially consist of three different types of single-family homes. Village Homes will feature Mediterranean style homes on sites up to one-quarter acre, Estate Homes will include architectural styles like Tuscan, Spanish Revival, Venetian, Italianate, Dutch Colonial and Island Colonial on approximately one-half-acre home sites and Grand Estate Homes, on home sites up to three-quarters-acre in size, will feature architectural styles consistent with Estate Homes.

Update: With so few homes available within Golden Oak, many are already curious if they will actually be lived in or if investors will simply grab them up, hoping to rent them as vacation homes. I asked about the possibility of rentals and Disney spokesman Benjamin Thompson told me, “Short term rentals will not be allowed at Golden Oak, but longer term rentals (great than 6 months) will be permitted.” So vacation homes are out of the question for this exclusive sub-community of Walt Disney World.

Beyond the obvious benefits of living so close to Disney’s theme parks and entertainment offerings, Thompson also told me that residents of Golden Oak will also receive “an exclusive package created expressly for Golden Oak residents will include in-park benefits, private VIP transportation, access to select special-event tickets and community-hosted activities throughout the year.” No word as to whether the “in-park benefits” will include free admission to the Walt Disney World theme parks.

More information about Golden Oak is available at disneygoldenoak.com, especially on their FAQ. Golden Oak will use a Priority Reservation List for potential home buyers with an interest in purchasing a home. A position is secured on the list in the order in which a signed Lot Release Priority Agreement and a refundable $25,000 deposit is received. Deposits are now being accepted, with the first completed homes projected for 2011. At build-out, Golden Oak is anticipated to include approximately 450 homes.

My Thoughts:

First off I feel sorry for this girl for 2 reasons: 1. She probably has NO self-confidence and 2. This dude she so badly wanted to meet is a wack job. This is the reason why I tell people who ask my opinion on this that ONLINE dating is not normal. There's a sense of weird/secretive anonymity that NON-normal people get off on and it just doesn't seem right in my humble opinion. What ever happened to good old fashioned chance meetings in a grocery store, or awkward pick up lines and come-ons. Match.com and all those other online dating sites that promise to get you paired up with the love of your life are a crock. This FML post gets a big FAIL..lol!

Well friends...I'm officially 30, and it's not as bad as I thought. Saturday was a day of Colorado exploration in the paradise-like area known as Vail. My wife, mom, dad, nephew, and dog all took me for the day. It was AMAZING! Kat and I go once a year but I always wanted my family to go. We walked around, shopped, I played in the fountain with my nephew Brody and the other kids, and the day couldn't have been anymore perfect. Check out some highlights:

PS, my wife and I saw "SPLICE" that evening after we got home from Vail and it was so friggin' hilarious and sick and twisted and wrong on so many levels! I recommend this maybe as a $1 Red Box rental, but Kat and I were certainly laughing VERY hard when we left. Kat said it was MY BIRTHDAY MOVIE so I got to choose, and boy was it worth the shock-factor value.

This is a picture of "DREN" the main character of the movie. The premis is she has DNA that has been spliced with several animals along with a human's. That's all I'll say...go see the movie for yourself. IT'S AWESOME!

I woke up on Sunday morning, June 20th, at 7:32 with a smile on my face. I immediately felt such a joy and peace with the fact that I was no longer in my 20's. It was weird too...I woke up with EVERY intention of sleeping in and (shamefully) missing my first 2 church meetings cause Kat and I went to bed at like 2:30AM!

So I woke up and I felt like God told me to get up for church cause I would be blessed for going. And man I gotta tell ya...when the Lord wants you to do something, just do it. Church was great. I heard 3 special talks on Fathers from some of the youth in my ward and it was such a blessing to my spirit.

After church, Kat took me to get my Superman birthday cake. It was so awesome and yummy and JUST what I wanted. It read "HAPPY 30TH BIRTHDAY SUPERBOY"

After that Kat and I sorta putzed around and went to Target. Then she took me for a DELICIOUS lunch at Texas Roadhouse (my FAVORITE place to eat in the Springs) and then we came home and enjoyed cake and ice cream with my family.

This is just one of the many awesome gifts I got for my birthday...here's Brody and I saying CHEESE for the camera as I model my new sleeveless dry mesh shirts for bike riding!

And speaking of BIKE RIDING....

This was my shiny new bike my Mom and Wife bought me. It had a big green bow and I actually got to ride it last night for a few miles and I love it!

8 Drugs You Should Get a Second Opinion On

So I found this article alarming since I take Prilosec OTC DAILY for my frequent heart burn. As of today...no more. Now keep in mind, this is just advice from a fitness magazine that I read, but still its always good to know the risks when taking ANY medications. Here's the break down on some medication risks you didn't know about. Remember to ALWAYS consult your doctor if you have any issue or questions regarding side affects and or concerns.

8 Drugs You Should Get a Second Opinion On

With 3,480 pages of fine print, the Physicians' Desk Reference (a.k.a. PDR) is not a quick read. That's because it contains every iota of information on more than 4,000 prescription medications. Heck, the PDR is medication—a humongous sleeping pill.

Doctors count on this compendium to help them make smart prescribing decisions—in other words, to choose drugs that will solve their patients' medical problems without creating new ones. Unfortunately, it seems some doctors rarely pull the PDR off the shelf. Or if they do crack it open, they don't stay versed on emerging research that may suddenly make a once-trusted treatment one to avoid. Worst case: You swallow something that has no business being inside your body.

Of course, plenty of M.D.'s do know which prescription and over-the-counter drugs are duds, dangers, or both. So we asked them, "Which medications would you skip?" Their list is your second opinion. If you're on any of these meds, talk to your doctor. Maybe he or she will finally open that big red book with all the dust on it.

1. Advair

It's asthma medicine . . . that could make your asthma deadly. Advair contains the long-acting beta-agonist (LABA) salmeterol. A 2006 analysis of 19 trials, published in the Annals of Internal Medicine, found that regular use of LABAs can increase the severity of an asthma attack.

Because salmeterol is more widely prescribed than other LABAs, the danger is greater—the researchers estimate that salmeterol may contribute to as many as 5,000 asthma-related deaths in the United States each year. In 2006, similarly disturbing findings from an earlier salmeterol study prompted the FDA to tag Advair with a "black box" warning—the agency's highest caution level.

Your New Strategy
No matter what you may have heard, a LABA, such as the one in Advair, is not the only option, says Philip Rodgers, Pharm.D., a clinical associate professor at the University of North Carolina school of pharmacy. For instance, if you have mild asthma, an inhaled corticosteroid such as Flovent is often all you need.

Still wheezing? "Patients can also consider an inhaled corticosteroid paired with a leukotriene modifier," says Dr. Rodgers. This combo won't create dangerous inflammation, and according to a Scottish review, it's as effective as a corticosteroid-and-LABA combo

2. Avandia

Diabetes is destructive enough on its own, but if you try to control it with rosiglitazone—better known by the brand name Avandia—you could be headed for a heart attack. Last September, a Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) study found that people who took rosiglitazone for at least a year increased their risk of heart failure or a heart attack by 109 percent and 42 percent, respectively, compared with those who took other oral diabetes medications or a placebo.

The reason? While there have been some reports that Avandia use may cause dangerous fluid retention or raise artery-clogging LDL cholesterol, no one is sure if these are the culprits. That's because the results of similar large studies have been mixed. So the FDA has asked GlaxoSmithKline, the maker of Avandia, to conduct a new long-term study assessing users' heart risks. There's only one problem: The study isn't expected to start until later this year.

Your New Strategy
Stick with a proven performer. "I prefer metformin, an older, cheaper, more dependable medication," says Sonal Singh, M.D., the lead author of the JAMA study. "Avandia is now a last resort."

Dr. Singh recommends that you talk to your doctor about cholesterol-lowering medicines, such as statins or the B vitamin niacin. Swallowing high doses (1,000 milligrams) of niacin daily may raise your HDL (good) cholesterol by as much as 24 percent, while at the same time lowering your LDL and triglyceride levels.

3. Celebrex

Once nicknamed "super aspirin," Celebrex is now better known for its side effects than for its pain-relieving prowess. The drug has been linked to increased risks of stomach bleeding, kidney trouble, and liver damage. But according to a 2005 New England Journal of Medicine study, the biggest threat is to your heart: People taking 200 mg of Celebrex twice a day more than doubled their risk of dying of cardiovascular disease. Those on 400 mg twice a day more than tripled their risk, compared with people taking a placebo.

And yet Celebrex, a COX-2 inhibitor, is still available, even though two other drugs of that class, Bextra and Vioxx, were pulled off the market due to a similar risk of heart damage. The caveat to the consumer? In 2004, the FDA advised doctors to consider alternatives to Celebrex.

Your New Strategy
What you don't want to do is stop swallowing Celebrex and begin knocking back ibuprofen, because regular use of high doses of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) can lead to gastrointestinal bleeding.

A safer swap is acupuncture. A German study found that for people suffering from chronic lower-back pain, twice-weekly acupuncture sessions were twice as effective as conventional treatments with drugs, physical therapy, and exercise. The strategic needling may stimulate central-nervous-system pathways to release the body's own painkillers, including endorphins and enkephalins, says Duke University anesthesiologist Tong-Joo Gan, M.D.

4. Ketek

Most bacteria in the lungs and sinuses don't stand a chance against Ketek, but you might not either. This antibiotic, which has traditionally been prescribed for respiratory-tract infections, carries a higher risk of severe liver side effects than similar antibiotics do.

"Ketek can cause heart-rhythm problems, can lead to liver disease, and could interact poorly with other medications you may be taking," says Dr. Rodgers. "Unfortunately, it's still available, and although many doctors are aware of the risks, some may still prescribe it without caution." In February 2007, the FDA limited the usage of Ketek to the treatment of pneumonia.

Your New Strategy
Can't imagine catching pneumonia? The last time the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention calculated the top 10 killers of men, this deadly lung infection (along with the flu) came in seventh.

Avoid backing yourself into a corner where you might need Ketek by always signing up for your annual flu shot—if you have pneumonia, it'll reduce your risk of dying of the infection by 40 percent.

And if you still end up staring at a scrip for Ketek, Dr. Rodgers recommends asking to be treated with one of several safer alternatives, such as Augmentin or the antibiotics doxycycline or Zithromax.

5. & 6. Prilosec and Nexium

Heartburn can be uncomfortable, but heart attacks can be fatal, which is why the FDA has investigated a suspected link between cardiac trouble and the acid-reflux remedies Prilosec and Nexium. In December 2007, the agency concluded that there was no "likely" connection. Translation: The scientific jury is still out. In the meantime, there are other reasons to be concerned. Because Prilosec and Nexium are proton-pump inhibitors, they are both incredibly effective at stopping acid production in the stomach—perhaps too effective.

A lack of acid may raise your risk of pneumonia, because the same stuff that makes your chest feel as if it's burning also kills incoming bacteria and viruses. You may also have an elevated risk of bone loss—in the less acidic environment, certain forms of calcium may not be absorbed effectively during digestion. "The risk of a fracture has been estimated to be over 40 percent higher in patients who use these drugs long-term, and the risk clearly increases with duration of therapy," says Dr. Rodgers.

Your New Strategy
When you feel the fire, first try to extinguish it with Zantac 150 or Pepcid AC. Both of these OTC products work by blocking histamine from stimulating the stomach cells that produce acid. Just know that neither drug is a long-term fix.

"To really cure the problem, lose weight," says Michael Roizen, M.D., chief wellness officer at the Cleveland Clinic and coauthor of YOU: The Owner's Manual. That's because when you're overweight, excess belly fat puts pressure on and changes the angle of your esophagus, pulling open the valve that's supposed to prevent stomach-acid leaks. This in turn makes it easier for that burning sensation to travel up into your chest.

7. Visine Original

What possible harm to your peepers could come from these seemingly innocuous eyedrops? "Visine gets the red out, but it does so by shrinking blood vessels, just like Afrin shrinks the vessels in your nose," says Thomas Steinemann, M.D., a spokesman for the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Overuse of the active ingredient tetrahydrozoline can perpetuate the vessel dilating-and-constricting cycle and may cause even more redness.

Your New Strategy
If you still want to rely on Visine, at least make sure you don't use too many drops per dose and you don't use the stuff for more than 3 or 4 days. But you'd really be better off figuring out the underlying cause of the redness and treating that instead.

If it's dryness, use preservative-free artificial tears, recommends Dr. Steinemann. Visine Pure Tears Portables is a good choice for moisture minus side effects.

On the other hand, if your eyes are itchy and red because of allergies, pick up OTC antiallergy drops, such as Zaditor. It contains an antihistamine to interrupt the allergic response but no vasoconstrictor to cause rebound redness.

8. Pseudoephedrine

Forget that this decongestant can be turned into methamphetamine. People with heart disease or hypertension should watch out for any legitimate drug that contains pseudoephedrine.

See, pseudoephedrine doesn't just constrict the blood vessels in your nose and sinuses; it can also raise blood pressure and heart rate, setting the stage for vascular catastrophe. Over the years, pseudoephedrine has been linked to heart attacks and strokes. "Pseudoephedrine can also worsen symptoms of benign prostate disease and glaucoma," says Dr. Rodgers.

Your New Strategy
Other OTC oral nasal decongestants can contain phenylephrine, which has a safety profile similar to pseudoephedrine's. A 2007 review didn't find enough evidence that phenylephrine was effective.

Our advice: Avoid meds altogether and clear your nasal passages with a neti pot, the strangely named system that allows you to flush your sinuses with saline ($15, sinucleanse.com). University of Wisconsin researchers found that people who used a neti pot felt their congestion and head pain improve by as much as 57 percent.

Granted, the flushing sensation is odd at first, but give it a chance. Dr. Roizen did: "I do it every day after I brush my teeth," he says.

The 10 Best Foods You Aren't Eating

1. Cabbage
Absent from most American kitchens, this cruciferous vegetable is a major player in European and Asian diets.

Why It's Healthy: One cup of chopped cabbage has just 22 calories, and it's loaded with valuable nutrients. At the top of the list is sulforaphane, a chemical that increases your body's production of enzymes that disarm cell-damaging free radicals and reduce your risk of cancer. In fact, Stanford University scientists determined that sulforaphane boosts your levels of these cancer-fighting enzymes higher than any other plant chemical.

How to Eat It: Put cabbage on your burgers to add a satisfying crunch. Or, for an even better sandwich topping or side salad, try an Asian-style slaw. Here's what you'll need.

4 Tbsp peanut or canola oil
Juice of two limes
1 Tbsp sriracha, an Asian chili sauce you can find in the international section of your grocery store
1 head napa cabbage, finely chopped or shredded
1/4 cup toasted peanuts
1/2 cup shredded carrots
1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Whisk together the oil, lime juice, and sriracha. Combine the remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl and toss with the dressing to coat. Refrigerate for 20 minutes before serving. The slaw will keep in your fridge for 2 days.

2. Beets
These grungy-looking roots are naturally sweeter than any other vegetable, which means they pack tons of flavor underneath their rugged exterior.

Why They're Healthy: Think of beets as red spinach. Just like Popeye's powerfood, this crimson vegetable is one of the best sources of both folate and betaine. These two nutrients work together to lower your blood levels of homocysteine, an inflammatory compound that can damage your arteries and increase your risk of heart disease. Plus, the natural pigments—called betacyanins—that give beets their color have been proved to be potent cancer fighters in laboratory mice.

How to Eat Them: Fresh and raw, not from a jar. Heating beets actually decreases their antioxidant power. For a simple single-serving salad, wash and peel one beet, and then grate it on the widest blade of a box grater. Toss with 1 tablespoon of olive oil and the juice of half a lemon.

You can eat the leaves and stems, which are also packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Simply cut off the stems just below the point where the leaves start, and wash thoroughly. They're now ready to be used in a salad. Or, for a side dish, sauté the leaves, along with a minced clove of garlic and a tablespoon of olive oil, in a sauté pan over medium-high heat. Cook until the leaves are wilted and the stems are tender. Season with salt and pepper and a squeeze of lemon juice, and sprinkle with fresh Parmesan cheese.

3. Guava
Guava is an obscure tropical fruit that's subtly acidic, with sweetness that intensifies as you eat your way to the center.

Why it's Healthy: Guava has a higher concentration of lycopene—an antioxidant that fights prostate cancer—than any other plant food, including tomatoes and watermelon. In addition, 1 cup of the stuff provides 688 milligrams (mg) of potassium, which is 63 percent more than you'll find in a medium banana. And guava may be the ultimate high-fiber food: There's almost 9 grams (g) of fiber in every cup.

How to Eat It: Down the entire fruit, from the rind to the seeds. It's all edible—and nutritious. The rind alone has more vitamin C than you'd find in the flesh of an orange. You can score guava in the produce section of higher-end supermarkets or in Latin grocery stores.

4. Swiss Chard
Hidden in the leafy-greens cooler of your market, you'll find this slightly bitter, salty vegetable, which is actually native to the Mediterranean.

Why It's Healthy: A half cup of cooked Swiss chard provides a huge amount of both lutein and zeaxanthin, supplying 10 mg each. These plant chemicals, known as carotenoids, protect your retinas from the damage of aging, according to Harvard researchers. That's because both nutrients, which are actually pigments, appear to accumulate in your retinas, where they absorb the type of shortwave light rays that can damage your eyes. So the more lutein and zeaxanthin you eat, the better your internal eye protection will be.

How to Eat It: Chard goes great with grilled steaks and chicken, and it also works well as a bed for pan-seared fish. Wash and dry a bunch of Swiss chard, and then chop the leaves and stems into 1-inch pieces. Heat a tablespoon of olive oil in a large sauté pan or wok, and add two garlic cloves that you've peeled and lightly crushed. When the oil smokes lightly, add the chard. Sauté for 5 to 7 minutes, until the leaves wilt and the stems are tender. Remove the garlic cloves and season the chard with salt and pepper

5. Cinnamon
This old-world spice usually reaches most men's stomachs only when it's mixed with sugar and stuck to a roll.

Why It's Healthy: Cinnamon helps control your blood sugar, which influences your risk of heart disease. In fact, USDA researchers found that people with type-2 diabetes who consumed 1 g of cinnamon a day for 6 weeks (about 1/4 teaspoon each day) significantly reduced not only their blood sugar but also their triglycerides and LDL (bad) cholesterol. Credit the spice's active ingredients, methylhydroxychalcone polymers, which increase your cells' ability to metabolize sugar by up to 20 times.

How to Eat It: You don't need the fancy oils and extracts sold at vitamin stores; just sprinkle the stuff that's in your spice rack (or in the shaker at Starbucks) into your coffee or on your oatmeal.

6. Purslane
Although the FDA classifies purslane as a broad-leaved weed, it's a popular vegetable and herb in many other countries, including China, Mexico, and Greece.

Why It's Healthy: Purslane has the highest amount of heart-healthy omega-3 fats of any edible plant, according to researchers at the University of Texas at San Antonio. The scientists also report that this herb has 10 to 20 times more melatonin—an antioxidant that may inhibit cancer growth—than any other fruit or vegetable tested.

How to Eat It: In a salad. Think of purslane as a great alternative or addition to lettuce: The leaves and stems are crisp, chewy, and succulent, and they have a mild lemony taste. Look for it at your local farmer's market, or Chinese or Mexican market. It's also available at some Whole Foods stores, as an individual leafy green or in premade salad mixes.

7. Pomegranate Juice
A popular drink for decades in the Middle East, pomegranate juice has become widely available only recently in the United States.

Why It's Healthy: Israeli scientists discovered that men who downed just 2 ounces of pomegranate juice daily for a year decreased their systolic (top number) blood pressure by 21 percent and significantly improved bloodflow to their hearts. What's more, 4 ounces provides 50 percent of your daily vitamin C needs.

8. Goji Berries
These raisin-size fruits are chewy and taste like a cross between a cranberry and a cherry. More important, these potent berries have been used as a medicinal food in Tibet for over 1,700 years.

Why They're Healthy: Goji berries have one of the highest ORAC ratings—a method of gauging antioxidant power—of any fruit, according to Tufts University researchers. How to Eat Them: Mix dried or fresh goji berries with a cup of plain yogurt, sprinkle them on your oatmeal or cold cereal, or enjoy a handful by themselves. You can find them at specialty supermarkets or at gojiberries.us.

9. Dried Plums
You may know these better by the moniker "prunes," which are indelibly linked with nursing homes and bathroom habits. And that explains why, in an effort to revive this delicious fruit's image, producers now market them under another name.

Why They're Healthy: Prunes contain high amounts of neochlorogenic and chlorogenic acids, antioxidants that are particularly effective at combating the "superoxide anion radical." This nasty free radical causes structural damage to your cells, and such damage is thought to be one of the primary causes of cancer.

How to Eat Them: As an appetizer. Wrap a paper-thin slice of prosciutto around each dried plum and secure with a toothpick. Bake in a 400°F oven for 10 to 15 minutes, until the plums are soft and the prosciutto is crispy. Most of the fat will cook off, and you'll be left with a decadent-tasting treat that's sweet, savory, and healthy.

These jack-o'-lantern waste products are the most nutritious part of the pumpkin.

Why They're Healthy: Downing pumpkin seeds is the easiest way to consume more magnesium. That's important because French researchers recently determined that men with the highest levels of magnesium in their blood have a 40 percent lower risk of early death than those with the lowest levels. How to Eat Them: Whole, shells and all. (The shells provide extra fiber.) Wow...has it been a MONTH since my last blog?! Well please forgive me of my blogger sin.

I have to confess I have been in an emotional funk for a while. I went through some of life's trials this past month and though I prefer not to go into detail, I will say I lost a very amazing woman in my life know as Tia. I know I will see her face one day soon, but until then I will always keep her close inside my heart with the memories and legacy she left behind.

But, on a happy note my berfday is just DAYS away and I am 30 pounds lighter baby. I have been eating right, working out at the gym, and hiking NON-stop. I feel good, and will hopefully be close to my weightloss goal very soon. Sunday is Father's Day as well as my birthday, but you only turn 30 once so my Dad will just have to understand.

As for plans I am not sure. Going out of town somewhere is the gist. All I know is my wifey and Momma pulled together their rubels and bought me a SWEET mountain bike! It's white, so I've dubbed him White Boy Jr. Since my Car is White Boy. Oh yeah...I also am getting a Superman Birthday Cake! So, I just hope my Birthday weekend goes well. As long as I am surrounded by my family, I will be happily in Heaven.

I'll post birthday pics soon. In the meantime I leave with a saying that expresses and sums up what I have learned at ALMOST 30 years old: "Happiness is not getting what you want, but wanting what you already have."

That's truly how I feel brothers and sisters...I am so happy to have what God has so generously decided to give me in this earthly life. I have a Wife who is my world, a Mother and Father who I adore, a sister that is my best friend, a nephew that is the core of happiness in my life, and 3 dogs and a cat who have the ability to ease any of life's blows with a simple gesture. I have extended family and friends that love me no matter what, an eye for the creative and artisitic, a voice in which I love to make music, and most importantly, an unshakeable testimony of who my Heavenly Father is and what he does, and his true church.

I don't mean to sound preachy or overly serious, but after you lose a loved one in physical death, you instantly learn to appreciate those that are left behind. Unfortunately the worldly attitude towards death is that "life goes on"...of course it does, but memories of the past are never forgotten, and for me, I have good days, and I have bad days.

So as I live on my emotional rollar coaster that only time can level out for me, I wish you nothing but love, joy and the peace of TRUE happiness. I feel as though I have gotten something out of my age, and that's wisdom. I know I'm not "old", but I gotta tell you...life's well learned wisdom is more precious than anything in this world.

Well folks, it's almost that time. I've heard it called "Dirty Thirty", not me. I've considered "Flirty Thirty", a little bit of me, but not totally. So I've settled on "Purtty Thirty" cause I am a cutie pie. Sounds conceited a bit right? No, I'm just realizing I am about to be 30 years old.

How did I get here? It seems like just yesterday I was turning 20! I've heard that I "don't look 30" so I'll take what I can get. I've even heard that 40 is the new 20, so does that make me turning 30 a teenager again?!!! Actually funny story, I went with a buddy to see The Nightmare On Elm Street Remake last week. Well the teenaged kid at the box office window asked to see my I.D. I was curious as to why, so I asked why he needed to check my ID.

Well his response was, "Um, well anyone that looks 21 and under, I have to check to make sure they are old enough to see the rated R movie."

Well after laughing and feeling a healthy pump to my ego, I thanked him and went into the movie.

Anyway, I'm on the verge of a PRE-30-MID-LIFE crisis. Now all my older friends are like "SHUT UP! YOU ARE STILL A KID!" Okay, I get it, I'm not ancient yet, but age is all relative folks. To me, 30 is a big deal, and not something to be taken lightly.

As for the PRE-30-MID-LIFE crisis, I've been in the gym NON-STOP trying to have some noticeable change to my physique. Actually, I've lost about 25 pounds already, and I feel good about losing more by June 20th (my birthday). But, I've considered abrubtly quitting my job and moving to LA to start something on the road to a record deal, I've thought about going back to school for graphic design, I've thought about getting my wife pregnant (with her consent of course) so I can know the joy of being a Dad. I've even thought about getting a new flashy sports car, but I have a feeling thats what 50 year old men do, I'm quite content with my 2010 Toyota Camry.

But at the end of the day, it's not the fact that I'm turning 30 that freaks me out, it's that I'm all grown up and I STILL don't know what I want to do with my life. A part of me keeps waiting for God in Heaven to plop some wonderfully wrapped dream cometrue on my lap, and I know that's not how it works.

Ever since I can remember, I've ALWAYS wanted to be a recording artist. Make wonderful music, record with the talented heavy weight in the biz, tour, make videos, dance, show my funny personality on TV talk shows, sing LIVE, and live my dream. I've even been close having a deal with super-producer MANUEL SEAL back when I was younger, but it never really came to fruition.

So what now. Keep trying, or maybe, JUST maybe, is this my cue from God to humbly let go of a life of being a professional entertainer? I don't know. All I know is, I can still dream, and those dreams fuel the fire in me to keep on making it, even in the midst of my own self-doubt. Without dreams, life is boring, and I'm too much of an optimist for that to happen.

So we will see what "30" brings me. I just want what Heavenly Father's will is for my life, even if it's not what I, BOBBY ADAN, want. I want to be the best Husband, Son, Brother, Uncle, Friend, Person, Saint, and hopefully soon, Daddy I can be to all those that are in my life, and that I love. I think that's what will make me a successful 30 year old.

So here's to 30 baby...and trusting God for some miracles in my life. Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm not typically a fan of male pop artists unless its Justin or Usher, but this kid has got the goods. He can sing, dance, and I think he's going to be huge after next Wednesday's American Idol. I actually got a chance to see him LIVE in Denver a couple years back when I was a guest of an Interscope Records rep at one of his shows, and he is a true TALENT! He's Perez Hilton's buddy, and he is set to make a HUGE DEBUT on IDOL...Check it out:

Travis Garland, the former boy-band singer whose first solo single will receive an unprecedented national debut on "American Idol" next week, can thank gossip-maven-turned-music-business-power-player Perez Hilton for his good fortune. That's because Hilton, who has brokered his online success into a bevy of business opportunities, used his pull with the mastermind behind "Idol" to help his young protege score the coveted slot.

Garland will premiere his single, the Danja-produced "Believe," on "Idol" next Wednesday night. The single will be released on iTunes the day before, and his debut album will be released on Interscope later this year.

"I have a great relationship - and partnership - with Simon Fuller," Hilton told Billboard in an exclusive interview today (May 12). "He said to me, 'you know Perez, I'd really like to help you break one of your artists on Idol' and I was like 'yeah, that's amazing!'"

Perez picked Garland, a 20-year-old singer from Lubbock, Texas that Hilton had first run across on MySpace. "I think what's really exciting about Travis is that he'll appeal to the young girls that love Justin Timberlake and Justin Bieber, but he's older and more mature so he'll appeal to a broader audience."

Hilton claims to have more than 10 acts in various stages of development, including some with Warner Bothers, two with Interscope, and others that he plans to release himself. "I've got my hands all over the place, and I love it," Hilton says. "I'm getting dirty, in the trenches, and doing it and making it happen. I feel like I've been pregnant for a while and I'm giving birth to my first real child."

Garland is no stranger to the fame game: by the age of 17, he'd already joined the boy band Not Like Them (NLT), singed a major label deal with Geffen Records Chairman Ron Fair, toured with the Pussycat Dolls, and recorded a single with Timbaland. But the band was dropped before ever releasing an album, and Garland languished in Interscope's "artist purgatory."

Hilton discovered Garland online and was eager to help revive the singer's career. "I think he's a great singer and a great dancer," Hilton says, "and hot and young. But he's a gifted songwriter too. I am involved on the management side and I'm involved on the label side. So I'm fully involved in him and fully believe in him."

"Perez is like a mentor who uses his power and his influence where it can help me," says Garland. "Perez is extremely hands on. He's a creative type and likes to be involved. I see him once or twice a week, and we're constantly talking on the phone."

Garland believes that the experiences he had in the boy band NLT will be invaluable to his shot at solo stardom. "I've always said that you have to taste failure to swallow success," he says.

CIRQUE DU THRILLER!

The music of Michael Jackson will live on in a new venture between the estate of the late singer and Cirque du Soleil. (Via Access Hollywood)

Cirque du Soleil announced they are developing touring and permanent shows, based on the music and songs of Michael. A nightclub is also planned to open with the Las Vegas production.

The first of these projects will be an arena-touring show in which fans will experience the excitement of a Michael Jackson concert, is expected to debut in late Fall 2011. The touring show will have an extended run in Las Vegas at the MGM Mirage, with a permanent Vegas show expected in 2012.

“This will not just be a tribute to Michael’s musical genius, but a live entertainment experience that uses the most advanced technology to push every creative boundary as Michael always did,” John Branca, co-executor for Michael’s estate, said in a statement. “Having attended Cirque du Soleil performances with Michael, I know he was a huge fan. We are excited to be partners with Cirque du Soleil to give Michael’s fans a truly unique way to hear, see and feel Michael’s music.”

Guy Laliberte, founder of Cirque du Soleil, also expressed his excitement about bringing the pop star’s music to the stage.

“Michael Jackson is the King of Pop and an all-time phenomenal artist, both timeless and contemporary. As a creative challenge, this project is the ultimate. Through the use of cutting edge technology, we will produce a Cirque du Soleil experience not only worthy of Michael but unlike any other we have created before,” Guy said. “We are also so pleased that our longtime partner MGM Mirage has once again joined us in presenting another unique creative experience in Las Vegas.”

The singer’s mother, Katherine Jackson, said the entire Jackson clan is looking forward to the stage show, saying, “Our family is thrilled that Cirque du Soleil will pay tribute to my son in such an important way.”

Hey yawl...just thought I'd say hi. I survived my work week post Las Vegas which for me was easy cause I don't drink, but hard cause I think I was still shaking Jet Lag. Anyway, I couldn't have asked for a better week, minus the disorganization of others, I handled all the tasks at hand.

Well its a beautifully rainy Saturday afternoon here in Colorado. I'm cold, hungry, and I wish my wife was here. Days like this are meant to spend with your honey.

Anyway, she gets home at 9 tonight, so we'll see if I can convince her into a movie tonight. Is it weird I wanna see Kick Ass? Oooh or Date Night looks good too. Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Sorry I haven't updated in a GAZILLION YEARS, but I have a good excuse...um actually I don't but I LOVE YOU, and my gift of love makes everything better! I have to tell you I went to Las Vegas last week and JUST got back into town this weekend. So my REAL excuse is JET LAG.

VEGAS WAS A BLAST! I definitely know why they call it SIN CITY =) The trip was great though. It was all expenses paid courtesy of T-MOBILE ,and my TALENTED WIFEY KAT, so I love them forever.

I found myself growing closer to GOD because of the count em' FOUR plane trips it took to get us to Las Vegas...let's just say turbulence at 30 THOUSAND FEET in the air isn't the most fun. Anyway, aside from that, I had a the best time with my wife! I got to befriend 1 of Kat's co-workers, and a fellow Mormon brother and his beautiful wife, Tony & Tiffany.

We stayed at this AWESOME hotel called the Palazzo which I guess is like 2 years old, anyway it was so nice! The view from the 36th floor was beautiful and scary all at once (can you tell I don't like heights?).

We got a chance to walk the strip several times, and all I can say is that those damn card clickers trying to pimp out Las Vegas escorts are relentless. But, all in all, I got to FINALLY see Las Vegas for the first time. My feet hurt, and I smelled like a bar after walking through all the casinos but I didn't care, I was in Vegas baby! Plus I hit the Jackpot...I played $10 in the slots and doubled my winnings to $21.25. So I'd say I came out on top. Oh and I got to see Madam whatevers WAX MUSEUM! Guess who stopped by....

The next big milestone coming up is my 30th Birthday! I kinda have to admit I'm nervous cause of the "number" aspect, but I feel good about the fact that my friends, family and strangers still question my age. I got carded at the 21 and OVER pool in Las Vegas cause the chic at the front didn't believe I was 21, so it can't be that bad right?! My wife is planning something special from what I can gather and I HATE surprises because I can't hide my sincere discontent if I am disappointed, so I hope she does a good job.

Well let me start off by saying how grateful I was I didn't have to perform on Friday. I was sick, snotty, and I rubbed my nose so dry, it looked like I was beginning to form herpes on my nose. Gross! And not a good POP STAR look I might add.

Anyway, Saturday is when the sickness really hit me like semi truck. But all was well when I got to spend time with my buddy Elizabeth. We ate at Rock Bottom Brewery and saw The Wolfman. It was a great night. Not to mention I stopped by Target and bought Cirque De Freak: The Vampires Assistant (I'm watching that now and blogging btw)

Sunday was a Church Day. It was great. The lesson I taught my Primary kids was "Jesus Christ was a child like me." It was a nice lesson and I had everyone draw self-portraits of themselves. Very cute activity. Then my sister & I took my nephew Brody to The Dinosaur Resource Center in Woodland Park, CO. And can I just tell you, this place is the ISH! I learned so much about prehistoric animals.

All in all a great weekend, tomorrow back at the grind, and just taking it easy. Hope you have a blessed week ahead.

So I just got a damn "Speeding" ticket, and I KNOW I was not going 11 over like the officer said. Ah well. On a lighter note, I'm reading this awesome book (8th grade type) called Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief. Let me just say it is addicting.

Also, my show is Friday at Rum-Bay and I'm opening for Shontelle, and I'm sick! Lets hope I have a voice and energy to perform...I love singing =(

So, I apologize for not checking in all that much this week, but it has been a whirlwind! I am going on adrenaline this morning cause I talked my wife and sister into going to the Midnight showing of The Wolfman.

Let me just tell you, it was as good as the previews make it out to be, and better. Now, being a Werewolf expert, I am familiar with all the big movie werewolves I.E. Underworld, New Moon, and various others. Well this movie definitely had a dark undertone and was a great throw back the the EARLY and ORIGINAL movie with Lon Chaney.

It was gory, scary, and wonderful. This weekend will also see the release of Movie #2 I want to see..Percy Jackson & The Lightening Thief. I LOVE Greek Mythology, so I can't wait for this one either.

But, on to bigger and better/more amazing news...

Last night, I was on the E! Networks entertainment gossip show, The Daily 10!!!!! No joke. I walked in from work at 5:30ish tired and hungry, and my sister had the TV on. Well, I heard her screaming "BOBBY BOBBY BOBBY BOBBY!!!!!!!!!!". Well I RAN upstairs thinking something was wrong.

She proceeded to ramble on that I was on TV and my Twitter response to The Daily 10's Alec Baldwin post was on the show live. They showed my picture, and read/chatted about my comment which is the following:

Anyway...my old co-host J. Renee also called me shortly thereafter screaming that I was on the show and she had just seen me and I was famous! LOL! It was a jam packed fun day overall.

Well today is Friday and the last work day before a splendid 3 day weekend! I am so excited for this weekend. I will celebrate my sister's birthday, enjoy the company of a friend visiting from outta town, and most importantly, spend time with those that are most important to me...my family.

Wow...Wednesday has been productive to say the least! So I spent a good amount of time working on some new staff badges for the radio station I work for, and I love the outcome. Check it out:

Anyway, as soon as I walked in the building it has been NON-STOP go, go GO! But like I ALWAYS say...it's never a dull day in radio.

So last night was Hollywood week on Idol and Ellen's debut as a judge. I gotta say, she was just okay to me. It sorta seemed like she was trying to be that "funny" person way to much. Simon also looked annoyed on occasion, almost as if he was forced to laugh at Ellen's jokes.

Ah well, I actually don't really like Idol until they start the finalists. This way I can determine which contestant will be the winner...or should I say, SHOULD be the winner.

Okay...on that note, DAY 3 of my fasting is going well, and I feel humbled and grateful for all of God's blessings and presence in my life. So I encourage you to pray, fast, and have a closer relationship with your heavenly Father. Love yawl!

Look what my baby sent me!

So I got to work and in my email, my wife Kat sent me this Hallmark E-Card. I love her so much...even when we annoy each other.

Well last night was pretty uneventful. I fasted all day and was pretty worn out and tired. I ended up having a HUGE meal (not good I know) of Rotisserie Chicken from Safeway, homemade Greek/Italian Orzo Pasta Salad, Guacamole, and a delicious Hostess Chocolate cupcake with a side of Fresh Strawberries. Did I make you hungry yet?

Needless to say the meal was wonderful, and I fell asleep like an overstuffed lazy pig on the couch. My wife woke me up at about 8pm telling me to take my contacts out and to go to the bed. I did, my Scottish Terrior Maddox was in my spot, so I shoved him over and ended up conking out with his butt in my face.

Well I awoke from beauty sleep at 11pm...refreshed and ready to party, so I hopped on the computer and made some bomb-ass mix cds and watched the Cake Boss on TV while lifting weights...not a good idea. I then fell asleep at around 3am this morning.

Ah well...a lazy uneventful Monday, how bad can that be?

So good to me...

Cliche, but oh well. Anyway...it is officially Monday and I am feeling it. I woke up with a cough/sneeze this morning, so that pretty much sucks.

But the Superbowl was on last night, didn't really care, but I saw some really funny commercials. I find it interesting that during this strapped economic time that people are still dropping not only MILLIONS to produce TV commercials, but also MILLIONS for the advertising rates.

But I think Doritos will be ssing some decent turn around and I'm not gonna lie, the Bud Lite commercial with T-Pain and the auto-tuned guys was HIL-arious. Gotta love auto-tune.

I did miss this spot with Beyonce and a slew of pop culture references:

Oh yeah! AND I also bought The Hangover UNRATED edition and it is worth the extra 5 bucks lemme tell you. Its so funny. There is a gag reel which is worth the money alone, and also the ad-libbing scenes of "Mr. Chow".

My wife and I watched last night and laughed our asses off! Oky doke...on that note, I wish you a happy Monday. It's snowing here in beautiful Colorado, so I will enjoy the view.

Well the title says it all. Sore. I was ambitious and ready to jump start my fitness lifestyle again as of last night at 8:15pm. I pulled out the old Tae-Bo DVDs with the resistance bands and sweat my little heart out! I think halfway through I felt like I couldn't do the whole thing, but I pushed through and made it to the end!

By the way, it's the Billy Blanks Tae-Bo Boot camp version. So this had the use of resistance bands and let me tell you, it kicked my ass. The video was 45 mins long, and I was laughing mentally (cause I was too exhausted physically) about the fact that when I was 19 yrs-old, I did Tae-Bo twice a day. Can you believe that?! I was super into losing weight and my health fitness lifestyle that I was able to crank out to videos a day. Of course I was 19, but still!

Now at 29, it's a whole different story LOL! Let's just say once a day is MORE than enough. Anyway, it was great to know that I could still hang with the annoying backdrop of Billy Blanks' fitness video followers.

Today I am actually fasting and it's probably not the best time, but I will make it through. Well on that note, I must begin my workday. So I hope you have a wonderful & productive day, and I will check in soon...have a wonderful weekend!

Unexpected Surprises!

So I was finishing up at work yesterday and outta know where at 4' O Clock, my wife Kat just shows up! She had a presentation yesterday morning at work and she did really well so she was in a chipper mood you can say. Well at her job they have this thing called "ooh" which basically is time that they are allowed to leave due to their work being slow. So Kat came to pick me up so we could go out to dinner with her work friends.

It was a total unexpected surprise and I loved it! We went to this cool little Mexican Restaurant in downtown Manitou Springs, CO called "The Loop." The food was so wonderfully bad for you, and a perfect end to a busy workday.

I have to say it was pretty cool getting to know some of my wife's work friends. They were all so funny, NORMAL, and the outgoing personalities types which are close to my inner circle of friends that I hold close to me. Anyway, it was a fun night for all to be had.

I also was jammin' out to Michael Jackson's "Invincible" album yesterday. You know, it has that song "you Rock My World"? Anyway, I went browsing at Wal-Mart yesterday on my lunch hour and I saw the CD on sale for $7.00, so I bought it. Can I just tell you how wonderful this CD is? I have to preface this with the fact that I am a HUGE fan of super music producer Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins, and he produced like 5 tracks on the album, and they are ALL good! I know I am late buying it, but oh well, good music is always good music no matter the decade right? So that was my 2nd unexpected surprise of the day.

Well today is Thurdsay and I woke up to snow and ice on the roads, but it certainly is gorgeous here in Colorado! AND, I got to spend time with my pride and joy/nephew Brody this morning too! Usually he is asleep when I leave in the morning, but I heard him running around and yelling upstairs and I ran up and got him. Brody made me a hand-painted Valentine with those wiggly-cooky eyes, so I am now proudly displaying that at work =)

Welcome to www.BobbyAdan.com! This site has been a few years in the making. Take a minute to listen to the songs on the main page and buy my album. Can you believe it's February 3rd in 2010 already?! How the time flies.

I am adjusting back to a regular schedule after doing a morning show, and I have to say that life is good when you aren't stressed, and you can spend time with your family!

But enough with that drama, I'm so excited to have the site up and running! My wife Kat and I were talking about what we could do to get my music going, and she said "we can do a website for you!".

Well me being a Ra-Tard when it comes to anything computer related, I wasn't sure we could pull it off, but we sure did. My wife has done a stellar job with making this site look great. AND...I designed the graphics you see! Anyway, so American Idol was on last night...and millions of people saw me! For about .05 seconds, but STILL!

I was actually on the intro for Denver's leg of the audition tour. What a day that was! My 2nd time trying out for Idol...I thought ya know, I'm gonna do it this time! But alas, the reality TV gods didn't smile upon me that day.

This JUST in, BEYONCE will be singing at the 2010 Grammy Award's! Beyonce has an impressive 10 nominations, and will take to the stage to perform. I hope she GET'S THE PARTY STARTED with SINGLE LADIES....I think Kanye is a TOOL, but he was right when he said she had the best video, and in my humble opinion, the BEST SONG OF 2009!

The Grammys are set to take place on January 31st, 2010.

Can I just tell you how much I love this girl! She goes by the name of Jojo and she's had some HUGE Magic FM smashes, and she has really kinda grown up before our eyes doing music, movies, & modeling here and there. Above all else, the girl can really SING!

Anyway, I have been ANXIOUSLY awaiting her new album, "All I Want Is Everything", and I can't wait to hear what she's cooked up with Timbaland, & The Neptunes! For now, I can handle the fact that she already has a song on Tim's SHOCK VALUE II called "Losing Control". I will definitely be the first to get her new album!

Wow...this is so sad. Brittany Murphy passed away this weekend. I was at the Denver Aquarium when I found out, and all I could think about, was how much I loved her as Tai from the movie Clueless. Well, I send out warm wishes to her husband & her family. Here is the breakdown of what happened:

L.A. Coroner: Brittany Murphy Dead at 32

Actress Brittany Murphy has died, according to the Los Angeles coroner's office.

The 32-year-old actress, who starred in "Clueless" and with Eminem in "8 Mile," was declared dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, according to Selena Barrows, an investigator with the coroner's office.

"We have a preliminary death report of someone with the name of Brittany Murphy," Barrows told TheWrap. The report came from Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at 11 a.m. on Sunday.

The news was first reported by TMZ.com.

TMZ said multiple sources reported that the actress had gone into cardiac arrest and could not be revived on Sunday morning.

Barrows said cardiac arrest could mean any number of things, and was not an indication of the cause of death.

However, Murphy's suspected excessive use of drugs had been the subject of widespread speculation, and was even the subject of a parody sketch on a recent "Saturday Night Live" Weekend Update.

The Los Angeles City Fire Department said a 911 call was made at 8 a.m. from the Los Angeles home of Murphy's husband, Simon Monjack. She was pronounced dead on arrival at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

Born in Atlanta, Murphy started acting in regional theater at age 9; by age 13, she had signed with a manager and began appearing in television commercials. Her first roles were on TV series such as "Murphy Brown" and "Parker Lewis Can't Lose," which led to her breakthrough film, 1995's "Clueless."

She had five movies currently in production, including "Poor Things," with Rosario Dawson; "Shrinking Charlotte," with Kathleen Turner; and Sylvester Stallone's "The Expendables," with Stallone, Jet Li and Jason Statham.

In 2005, she signed on as the spokesmodel for Jordache Jeans. She has been named to both FHM's 10 Sexiest Women List, and Maxim's Hot 100.

In 2006, she released the single "Faster Kill Pussycat," which became a club hit on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Play chart. She also covered Queen's "Somebody to Love" and Earth, Wind & Fire's "Boogie Wonderland" for the film "Happy Feet."

She married screenwriter Monjack in 2007; before that, she was engaged to talent manager Jeff Kwatinetz, and production assistant Joe Macaluso. In late 2002, she dated Ashton Kutcher, with whom she co-starred in the film "Just Married."

Hef's former bunny, Kendra Wilkinson and her NFL husband Hank Baskett welcomed a bouncing baby boy, Hank Baskett IV, delivered via c-section in Indianapolis early Friday. He was 9 libs 5 ounces...that's a healthy baby!

Well, us fans will have a chance to witness the Hank Jr's birth in a new E! holiday special... Kendra: Here Comes the Baby. You'll be able to see footage of Kendra's adjustment to life in Indiana, prepping for her son’s birth, and scenes from Hank IV’s big arrival last week! The premiere happens on the E! network on Dec. 20.

President Barack Obama was in Oslo, Norway today to receive the Nobel Peace Prize!

Remember Obama caused a HUGE controversy when the award announcement was official in October...well anyway, President Obama said:

We actually saw it the day after she lost her job, and for 3 hours of my life as we watched this movie, life was fun and forgotten. I have to tell you, I did NOT want to see this movie at all, but how could I tell my unemployed wife "NO honey, I DON'T wanna see this movie you love!"

The 2 lover birds were at the Los Angeles premiere of her new musical movie Nine...this looks REALLY good by the way, it's in theaters Christmas Day!

It was the first red carpet sighting for the couple since facing the tabloid storms in late October. Remember that Duhamel SUPPOSEDLY cheated on Fergie with an Atlanta stripper? Well, Josh STRONGLY denied the allegations.

Miley's basically tired of all the pressure from having to be this wholesome person that she's been set up to be. Miley feels that at heart, shes just a rock chic...RIGHT

“I want to do my last pop record, I’m working on a record right now. I kinda (sic) want this to be my last record for a little while and be able to take a break and just get all the types of music that I really love… you know my favorite styles. Business BULLY Donald Trump has a few words of encouragement for Tiger Woods, who has now about 11 mistresses to speak of. Ironically Donald is a former CHEATER himself, so he wants to make sure that Tiger gets a fair chance.

Donald doesnt think that Tiger’s public image will be negatively affected by the legions of skanks trying to slander his image.

Donald says:

“Tiger’s a great athlete… one of the greatest athletes in the world,” The Donald told Extra Tuesday. “He’s had a very interesting and traumatic couple of weeks [but] he’s a wonderful guy. Tiger is going to be hotter than ever before — mark my words.”

I think Donald just may be right YAWL...I personally think this makes Tiger a tool, but I hope he can reform his ways, and Elin and the kiddos can move on from all this mess.

Tiger Woods released the following statement:

"I have let my family down and I regret those transgressions with all of my heart. I have not been true to my values and the behavior my family deserves. I am not without faults and I am far short of perfect. I am dealing with my behavior and personal failings behind closed doors with my family. Those feelings should be shared by us alone.

Although I am a well-known person and have made my career as a professional athlete, I have been dismayed to realize the full extent of what tabloid scrutiny really means. For the last week, my family and I have been hounded to expose intimate details of our personal lives. The stories in particular that physical violence played any role in the car accident were utterly false and malicious. Elin has always done more to support our family and shown more grace than anyone could possibly expect.

But no matter how intense curiosity about public figures can be, there is an important and deep principle at stake which is the right to some simple, human measure of privacy. I realize there are some who don't share my view on that. But for me, the virtue of privacy is one that must be protected in matters that are intimate and within one's own family. Personal sins should not require press releases and problems within a family shouldn't have to mean public confessions.

Whatever regrets I have about letting my family down have been shared with and felt by us alone. I have given this a lot of reflection and thought and I believe that there is a point at which I must stick to that principle even though it's difficult.

I will strive to be a better person and the husband and father that my family deserves. For all of those who have supported me over the years, I offer my profound apology."

Just wanted to take a second to wish you a happy Thanksgiving! Life has just been crazy this week.
Hopefully you have all your shopping done. I was out at Safeway last night and it was crowded beyond belief!

I had to fist fight an old man for the last Rotisserie Chicken! I'm kidding about that, but I was lucky enough to find one for dinner last night. PS....here's a quick and easy recipe for dinner one night.

COLD WEATHER COMFORT FOOD OF THE WEEK:

Rotisserie Chicken & Pirogues

Okay, so this is a delicious and totally inexpensive meal idea for your cold winter nights ahead. By the way, it's BFB, and I can't stress enough how good this meal I whipped up was.

First off, go to any grocery store and get at pre-cooked, Hot & Fresh rotisserie chicken. Wal-Mart and Safeway have delicious chickens. While you are at your favorite grocery store, go to the freezer section and get a box of frozen pirogues. They are a Polish food, and are kind of like raviolis with potatoes, cheese etc. I suggest the 4 cheese and potato pirogues.

The whole meal takes 15 minutes of prep time, and you can have a warm & delicious dinner! Enjoy!

Anyways....Please have a safe and fun, and relaxed and delicious holiday meal. We will see you on Friday. And who knows, maybe I will see you out and about on the streets of sales and bargains on black Friday!
